Here are 12 ways to losing weight that don't involve daily hour long work outs, expensive gyms, the latest questionable fads or impossible diets.
Get planking
Planking (that's the exercise, not the internet fad of 2009) is a super simple and easy way to improve abs, arms and lower legs. You can easily do this wherever you are and just holding the pose for a minute or so a day will help strengthen your core.
Drink lots of water
Water keeps you hydrated and healthy but also helps with weight loss by making you eat less, especially calorific drinks from tea and fruit juice to coke and the like.
Get your egg on
Eggs are a core part of any healthy dieting plan, just ask Gaston. The great thing about them is that you can have them so many ways - fried, poached, boiled or scrambled - and at any time of day, so there's no excuse.
Don't skip breakfast
Talking of which, make sure you grab breakfast. That 'it's the most important meal of the day' line exists for a reason.
Learn to love sweet potato
Carbs - especially those from the likes of bread, potatoes and pasta - aren't great. Learn to love sweet potato as a healthier (and tastier) replacement, from sweet potato fries to sweet potato jackets.
Eat MORE!
Boost your mentalablisim by eating more meals. Rather than three larger meals, instead spread your food out into 6 or so meals and/or snacks thoroughout the day, keeping it healthy of course.
Ditch alcohol
Calorific alcohol is off limits. One night out every now and then is fine but even once a week could see all the hard work go to waste.
And sugar
Sugar too is a problem, especially the refined stuff found in drinks and sweets. Instead opt for fruit which has natural sugars and also lots of nuitrients and fibre.
Sleep!
Sleeping helps weight loss in many ways from just giving you enough energy to exercise to keeping your brain healthy, allowing you to control your impulses.
Buy a hula hoop
Bored of boring sit ups? Hula hooping is just as good and a hell of a lot more fun.
Walk and run everywhere you can
Ditch the bus and keep your car parked up and instead try to walk or run everywhere you possibly can. Furthermore, use the stairs rather than the lift to add exercise to your day to day activies.
